As well as supporting wildlife, volunteering offers many benefits. Taking part in regular volunteer activity can build confidence and help you to develop and/or share skills. It’s a great way of staying healthy, connected with others and leaves you feeling valued and purposeful.

Camera traps (also known as trail cameras) let us see into the woodland world, without disturbing wildlife. They help us learn more about when and where pine martens and other key woodland species are active. Get involved and help monitor our woodlands by setting up a camera trap on your land or identify wildlife online.
The Pine Marten Community Grant offers community and nature groups, schools, businesses and landowners an exciting opportunity to support pine marten recovery in the South West of England. Available grants are up to £500. Apply now before funding is allocated.

The project is led by Devon Wildlife Trust and is a partnership between seven conservation organisations: Dartmoor National Park Authority, Devon Wildlife Trust, Exmoor National Park Authority, Forestry England, National Trust, Somerset Wildlife Trust and Woodland Trust. Young Devon and Space, Devon based youth charities, are supporting the project to involve young people from a range of backgrounds in project objectives. The project is made possible with support from The National Lottery Heritage Fund and with thanks to the National Lottery players. We are also grateful for the support of a number of generous donors and for the expert advice and guidance of Vincent Wildlife Trust, NatureScot and the Zoological Society of London.
